A Great Read
Amazon Review by Virg Palumbo August 25, 2017
A great read on leadership!! From a variety of views points, Anthony provides a insightful narrative on leadership perspectives. During the conversations in the book, I found myself thinking about some of the concepts and perspectives. I strongly recommend the book.
Not what I expected and exactly what I wanted.
Amazon Review by Matt Harton September 28, 2016
"When I purchased this book, it was mainly due to personal intrigue. I had the opportunity to meet the author and the way he described the book made me quite curious.
Being in sales and sales management I've read a plethora of books on leadership; many were great, some were not, but they all had something in common: the voice of the leader is filtered considerably. Even the most genuine and authentic leaders can lose their sense of "realness" once their message is altered to fit the needs of a publisher.
What Anthony Eaton has done in this book is tear away the filters and let us hear the voice of leaders from a wide array of different industries and backgrounds. For better or worse (almost always the former), the reader is able to gain raw insights from the pages of Leadership Conversations.
Imagine being a fly on the wall listening to a private interview. That's the best way to describe how I feel when reading this book. I can honestly say, I have never read anything quite like it. It is an easy read with valuable content and a dynamic style. Definitely worth picking up."
Not Your Typical Leadership Book
Amazon Review by Zach Mercurio October 5, 2016
The book is not going to present some grand new theory on leadership if that's what you are looking for. What it does do, however, is perhaps more powerful. It allows a glimpse into the lived experiences of those "doing" the leadership. As a qualitative researcher, I appreciated this aspect as I think the practice of leadership is understudied yet over theorized.
Anthony takes a different approach than many leadership authors, and there are hundreds of thousands of them. Instead of offering a new approach or theory on leadership, Anthony lets the voices of the people doing the work speak for themselves, and this is powerful for new and experienced leaders alike."
Excellent book for new and experienced Leaders
Amazon Review October 11, 2016
The Author did a great job asking the Leaders questions that gave them the opportunity to open up about their current and past experiences. They were able to share examples of how they overcame obstacles and what they learned from the obstacles as well. The Leaders also offered suggestions and ideas on what they feel defines great leadership. It was nice to hear from a variety of Leaders with different backgrounds. I felt their answers were honest and not the typical answers you may hear regarding what it takes to be a great leader.
This is not only a great book for leaders but anyone looking to advance in their career or life itself.
